Reuters New York reports that Mr. Big and Carrie Bradshaw will be together again, this time on the big screen. Chris Noth, who played Sarah Jessica Parker's love interest on HBO's "Sex and the City," is slated to reprise his role in a feature film spun from the long-running TV series.

Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon will also reprise their roles for the romantic comedy, to be distributed by New Line Cinema in association with HBO.

"There is no need for funeral arrangements," said Michael Patrick King, who will direct the film. "I assure you that Mr. Big is a very `big' part of the `Sex and the City' movie."

"While I have not spoken to him myself, Chris Noth assures me that Mr. Big is alive and well and ready to report to the set in September," King said in a statement Wednesday.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, the public lovebirds dubbed TomKat by the media, had a baby girl Tuesday, said Cruise spokesman Arnold Robinson.

The baby, named Suri, weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces and measured 20 inches long, he said. “Both mother and daughter are doing well,” Robinson said in a prepared statement.

The name Suri has its origins in Hebrew, meaning “princess,” or in Persian, meaning “red rose,” the statement said.

The baby was born in Los Angeles but the exact location was not disclosed. Details surrounding the birth, which was planned under the tenets of the Church of Scientology as a silent procedure, weren’t disclosed.

It looks like Britney Spears is headed to primetime. The pop princess and new mom will appear as a guest star on NBC’s “Will & Grace,” Access Hollywood has confirmed.

The Emmy Award-winning comedy, which will end its eight year run in May, is known for landing high-profile guests including Madonna, Demi Moore and Michael Douglas.

A source told Access that it is a “done” deal and Britney will likely tape her cameo episode sometime in February. A spokesperson for NBC declined comment.

In what will be Britney’s first primetime television episodic appearance, she guest-stars as a Christian conservative sidekick to Jack (Sean Hayes) on the episode “Jack Talk,” set to air on Thursday, April 13.

In the episode, when “Out TV” is bought by a Christian Television Network, Spears is brought on to be Jack’s new religious co-host—until Will (Eric McCormack) and Jack loosen her up.

Walk the Line' star and presumed Oscar contender Joaquin Phoenix walked away a bit shaken but otherwise unhurt when the automobile he was driving rolled over in the Hollywood Hills, police said on Friday.

The 31-year-old actor told police the crash occurred when his brakes failed as he was driving along a winding stretch of Lookout Mountain Road shortly before 3 p.m. Pacific time on Thursday, said Los Angeles Police Department spokeswoman Martha Garcia.

The performer's car overturned on a hillside and collided with another vehicle, but neither driver was injured in the wreck, Garcia said.

A police officer who arrived on the scene found no evidence of alcohol, drugs or criminal negligence involved, so the crash will be left to the insurance companies to investigate.

'The officer helped (Phoenix) exchange information with the other party, and that was the end of it,' Garcia said.

Phoenix won a Golden Globe Award and is favored to capture an Oscar nomination next week for his role as country music star Johnny Cash in 'Walk the Line,' co-starring Reese Witherspoon. He also has been nominated by the Screen Actors Guild, which presents its annual film awards on Sunday.
The actor's spokeswoman, Susan Patricola, was quoted by Us Weekly magazine on its Web site as saying Phoenix was "doing fine" after the accident but "may be very sore in the morning." She said he still planned to attend the SAG Awards.

The new Dolce restaurant would serve the same Italian cuisine as its Melrose Avenue location in Hollywood, Calif.

With its celebrity investors, who include Kutcher, best known for his role on 'That '70s Show' and as the husband of Demi Moore, the restaurant could attract a glamorous crowd, said Grand Sierra Resort Corp. President Thomas Schrade.

Other celebrity investors include Danny Masterson and Wilmer Valderrama, also stars of 'That `70s Show;' Chris Masterson of 'Malcolm in the Middle;' and Jamie Kennedy of 'The Jamie Kennedy Experiment.'

Actor Chris Penn has died in a Santa Monica residence, with no signs of foul play, a local ABC television affiliate reported Tuesday.

Penn, 43, was the brother of actor Sean Penn and starred in dozens of films.

He played baby-faced criminal Nice Guy Eddie Cabot in director Quentin Tarantino’s “Reservoir Dogs” and starred along with his brother in the 1986 film “At Close Range.” He also played Willard Hewitt in “Footloose” in 1984.

Recently, Penn voiced Officer Eddie Pulaski in the video game “Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.” Santa Monica police and the Los Angeles County Coroner were not immediately available for comment.

Ashton Kutcher isn't letting the tabloids have all the fun: He's producing a sitcom pilot loosely based on his relationship with Demi Moore.

The project, being developed for the Fox TV network by Twentieth Century Fox Television and Kutcher's production company, is about a younger man who marries an older woman and becomes stepdad to her children.

The pilot has yet to be cast and it was unknown if Kutcher had any plans to star in it, a Twentieth Century spokesman said Tuesday. Kutcher, 27, and Moore, 42, who are favorite subjects of tabloid newspaper and magazines, married last month in a ceremony attended by her ex-husband, Bruce Willis, and their three daughters.

'One phone call, that's all it took!' the 52-year-old actor tells Entertainment Weekly magazine in its Aug. 19 issue.
Brosnan starred in four Bond films. He says that before they stopped negotiations, the producers had invited him back for a fifth time.

'You know, the movie career for me really started with Bond,' says Brosnan, acknowledging that by the time 'GoldenEye' premiered in 1995, he was already 42.

He then starred as 007 in 'Tomorrow Never Dies' (1997), 'The World Is Not Enough' (1999) and 'Die Another Day' (2002).
His departure from the role was a 'titanic jolt to the system,' says Brosnan, followed by 'a great sense of calm.'

'I thought. ... I can do anything I want to do now. I'm not beholden to them or anyone. I'm not shackled by some contracted image. So there was a sense of liberation.'

Brosnan says he's grateful to have had the role, but adds:

The Associated Press reports: Lauryn Hill's long freeze-out of the public is beginning to thaw. Hill, whose 1998 solo debut 'The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill' sold millions and won her a record five Grammys, has been largely MIA since. But in the new issue of Trace magazine -- her first interview in years -- Hill discusses her self-imposed exile, the Fugees and her future.

'If I make music now, it will only be to provide information to my own children,' says Hill, who has four children, in the issue on newsstands July 14. 'If other people benefit from it, then so be it.'

But when confronted in court with topless photographs of herself as an aspiring model, she insisted she actually thought she looked quite good.

The Associated Press reports: A tour bus for rap star Eminem crashed and overturned after hitting two trucks on an interstate highway, police said. Eleven people were injured, including the star’s DJ, bodyguard and a protege, the rapper Stat Quo.

Eminem, whose real names is Marshall Mathers III, was not on the bus, publicist Dennis Dennehy said. His Anger Management Tour was expected to go as scheduled Thursday night in Denver.

MSNBC reports: The “War of the Worlds” star got engaged to Katie Holmes in the French capital, but now the city’s leaders have voted not to make Cruise an honorary citizen because of his membership in the controversial Church of Scientology.

In a debate this week, Paris’s City Hall pledged “never to welcome the actor Tom Cruise, spokesman for Scientology and self-declared militant for this organization,” according to Agence France Presse.

The associated press reports today that Sean 'P. Ditty' Combs and publishing giant - Random House, Inc have settled a lawsuit. Random house alledged that hip-hop mogul never paid back a $300,000 advance for a memoir that Combs never completed.

According to the court papers, Combs signed with Random House in 1998 and then arranged on his own to collaborate with Mikal Gilmore, a contributing editor to Rolling Stone and author of the acclaimed Shot in the Heart. Jen and Brad have been married for four years and a half and after much speculation and rumors of relationship difficulties they have come to the front lines and admitted their separation. They however claim that the rumors of infidelity and conception problems have NOT been the result of their decision. It was however widely known that Brad wanted a family.

Drunks from anywhere can unnerve me. However, as a performer I would assume performing for a drunken crowd goes with the job. Of course they can be rude and obnoxious but if you have a commitment you have to honor it. That was great news for Kanye West, but honestly after hearing his disappointing child like tantrum, I personally I wish West didn't win ANY awards this year, even if he is from Chicago.

During a recent interview with Diane Sawyer the rift couldn't be more evident when at the same time, Jen's actions contradict Brad's wants.

This week has been an eventful gabfest of celebrity gossip! There was been a lot of good news, bad news, and just plain juicy fun tab-fab gab. Alright enough of the teasing lets start off with the good news:

Congratulations! Julia Roberts Is the Proud Mom of Twins
Julia Roberts and hubby Danny Moder finally welcomed their new additions to their loving family at 3 a.m. on November 28. What are the names? Not as odd as the recent trend of celebrity baby names. (Coco Cox, Apple Martin ... the list is now getting pretty big) Julia gave birth to beautiful baby girl - Hazel Patricia and baby boy - Phinnaeus Walter.

But Phinnaeus and Hazel?
Hazel is retro by at least a couple of generations. The world stopped having Hazels around the time it stopped having Berthas and Gladyses and Mildreds. The last time Hazel was heard from was 1961, when Shirley Booth played a busybody maid of that name in a sitcom of that name. Phinnaeus is even more retro, as in Old Testament retro, and more obscure than such OT running mates as Methuselah and Obadiah.

Is Britney Spears in the family way?

Spears recently announced that she was taking at least a few years off before touring again. "A lot of people think you should wait till you are older to have kids," Spears writes. "I've had a career since I was 16, have traveled around the world & back and even kissed Madonna! The only thing I haven&'t done so far is experience the closest thing to God and that's having a baby. I can' wait!"

The 'Toxic' singer opines that it's important to have children when you're young — like her own mother, who "looked sexy in her black dress [when she went to church and] would come home and put on her size 2 shorts and a bikini top to wash the car & get a tan at the same time."

Spears also has comments that are not likely to endear her to career moms. “To be a really good mom, I feel your child needs to be your fulltime job,” she writes. "I want to raise my kids and share all of those precious moments with them and not rely on nannies." | source: MSNBC

I would love to see when this happens. This coming from a person who has a team of personal assistants to help her with... HERSELF. This seems to be deja-vu. I recall Nicole Kidman having some controversy over her smoking habits. This was in fact the case, Kidman made headline news in May 2003 when she smoked throughout a press conference at the Cannes Film Festival.
