Chris Noth in Sex Again!

Reuters New York reports that Mr. Big and Carrie Bradshaw will be together again, this time on the big screen. Chris Noth, who played Sarah Jessica Parker's love interest on HBO's "Sex and the City," is slated to reprise his role in a feature film spun from the long-running TV series.

Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon will also reprise their roles for the romantic comedy, to be distributed by New Line Cinema in association with HBO.

"There is no need for funeral arrangements," said Michael Patrick King, who will direct the film. "I assure you that Mr. Big is a very `big' part of the `Sex and the City' movie."

"While I have not spoken to him myself, Chris Noth assures me that Mr. Big is alive and well and ready to report to the set in September," King said in a statement Wednesday.

Angelina Jolie Gives Birth To Baby Girl In Africa - Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt

In what was arguably the most anticipated delivery in the world, Angelina Jolie gave birth to Brad Pitt's daughter Saturday in Africa, Pitt's publicist announced.
The night of May 27, 2006 in Namibia, Africa, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt welcomed their daughter Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt.

Celebritybabynames blog states - Shiloh is a well-known Hebrew name, variously described as meaning ’gift of God,’ ‘peaceful,’ ’the one to whom it belongs,’ or even ‘a prophetic name for the Messiah.’ All over the biblical map, really. But Shiloh also has a strong Civil War connection. As any war buff knows, Shiloh was the scene of one of the most grisly battles of the entire war. The 1862 battle left around 25,000 dead, with countless more wounded. Little Jolie-Pitt might grow up to wish she’d been named something a little more…well, peaceful.

No further information is being given, publicist Cindy Guagenti said in a statement. - No photographs were being released, she added. | source: MSNBC

Katie Holmes Gives Birth To Baby Girl Named Suri

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, the public lovebirds dubbed TomKat by the media, had a baby girl Tuesday, said Cruise spokesman Arnold Robinson.

The baby, named Suri, weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces and measured 20 inches long, he said. “Both mother and daughter are doing well,” Robinson said in a prepared statement.

The name Suri has its origins in Hebrew, meaning “princess,” or in Persian, meaning “red rose,” the statement said.

The baby was born in Los Angeles but the exact location was not disclosed. Details surrounding the birth, which was planned under the tenets of the Church of Scientology as a silent procedure, weren’t disclosed.

Scientologists believe words spoken during times of pain are recorded by the “reactive mind” and can potentially cause problems for mother and baby later in life. A spokesman from the Church of Scientology International declined comment and referred inquiries to Cruise’s publicist.| source: MSNBC

Britney Spears to guest-star on 'Will and Grace'

It looks like Britney Spears is headed to primetime. The pop princess and new mom will appear as a guest star on NBC’s “Will & Grace,” Access Hollywood has confirmed.

The Emmy Award-winning comedy, which will end its eight year run in May, is known for landing high-profile guests including Madonna, Demi Moore and Michael Douglas.

A source told Access that it is a “done” deal and Britney will likely tape her cameo episode sometime in February. A spokesperson for NBC declined comment.

In what will be Britney’s first primetime television episodic appearance, she guest-stars as a Christian conservative sidekick to Jack (Sean Hayes) on the episode “Jack Talk,” set to air on Thursday, April 13.

In the episode, when “Out TV” is bought by a Christian Television Network, Spears is brought on to be Jack’s new religious co-host—until Will (Eric McCormack) and Jack loosen her up.

Walk the Line' star and presumed Oscar contender Joaquin Phoenix walked away a bit shaken but otherwise unhurt when the automobile he was driving rolled over in the Hollywood Hills, police said on Friday.

The 31-year-old actor told police the crash occurred when his brakes failed as he was driving along a winding stretch of Lookout Mountain Road shortly before 3 p.m. Pacific time on Thursday, said Los Angeles Police Department spokeswoman Martha Garcia.

The performer's car overturned on a hillside and collided with another vehicle, but neither driver was injured in the wreck, Garcia said.

A police officer who arrived on the scene found no evidence of alcohol, drugs or criminal negligence involved, so the crash will be left to the insurance companies to investigate.

'The officer helped (Phoenix) exchange information with the other party, and that was the end of it,' Garcia said.

Phoenix won a Golden Globe Award and is favored to capture an Oscar nomination next week for his role as country music star Johnny Cash in 'Walk the Line,' co-starring Reese Witherspoon. He also has been nominated by the Screen Actors Guild, which presents its annual film awards on Sunday.
The actor's spokeswoman, Susan Patricola, was quoted by Us Weekly magazine on its Web site as saying Phoenix was "doing fine" after the accident but "may be very sore in the morning." She said he still planned to attend the SAG Awards.

Other films Phoenix has appeared in include "Gladiator," "The Yards" and "Quills." He is the younger brother of actor River Phoenix, who died of a drug overdose at age 23 in 1993. | source: Reuters

Kutcher Among Reno Restaurant Investors

Ashton Kutcher is among a group of investors expected to launch a restaurant in a planned Reno hotel-condominium-casino.

The new Dolce restaurant would serve the same Italian cuisine as its Melrose Avenue location in Hollywood, Calif.

With its celebrity investors, who include Kutcher, best known for his role on 'That '70s Show' and as the husband of Demi Moore, the restaurant could attract a glamorous crowd, said Grand Sierra Resort Corp. President Thomas Schrade.

Other celebrity investors include Danny Masterson and Wilmer Valderrama, also stars of 'That `70s Show;' Chris Masterson of 'Malcolm in the Middle;' and Jamie Kennedy of 'The Jamie Kennedy Experiment.'

Grand Sierra Resort officials announced plans in May to buy the Reno Hilton hotel for $150 million, convert it to hotel-condominiums and build a large indoor water park on the property.

The Hilton, northern Nevada's largest hotel-casino with 1,995 rooms, will be renamed Grand Sierra Resort. | Source: The Associated Press

Kevin Federline - A No-Talent Mr Spears?

Hey kids! What’s Portuguese for “no-talent hack”? If you guessed “K-Fed,” you’re burning up!

Sure, the Google translator may not agree. But language is fluid, give it time. (Think how fast Snoop Dogg embedded “izzle” in the participle zeitgeist.) In the wake of Kevin Federline’s rap debut, “PopoZao” (Portuguese for bodacious derrière), Brazil might just oblige. It’s the least South America can do for the United States — the country that gave the world its very first Mr. Britney Spears.

Allegedly the first single from an upcoming album, Federline’s “PopoZao” dropped exclusively on Yahoo Music Unlimited and quickly became the hottest thing on the Internet since “Saturday Night Live’s” “Lazy Sunday” video. Blogs, chat rooms and bulletin boards were on the Brazilian-flavored disco ditty like trailer trash on a pop star. And not because, like Mr. Pibb and Red Vines, it’s crazy delicious. Word to Sean Preston’s mother: Turns out the popular-culture consuming audience doesn’t really like Kevin Federine. | source:MSNBC
