Paris Hilton Swaps Ring but Keeps Nicole Richie

Heiress Paris Hilton is having to cope with one of the problems that comes with the trappings of wealth - her massive engagement ring is just too big.

'She started complaining how heavy her 24-carat ring was and that her finger hurt,' an insider tells Us magazine. Fiance Paris Latsis, a Greek shipping heir, has since selected a 'more manageable' Cartier band for 'everyday' wear.

Meanwhile, one accessory Paris won't be getting rid of is her former Simple Life sidekick Nicole Richie.

The estranged pair, who had a highly publicised falling out earlier this year, will be reunited in the upcoming season of the reality show despite rumours Nicole would be replaced by Rod Stewart's socialite daughter, Kimberly.

Paris and Nicole, who have completed three seasons of the show, are committed to return, said network bosses. 'Like all friends, they've had their ups and downs,' explained one Fox chief. 'It still hasn't been decided what exactly they'll be doing. | source: Hello Magazine

Looks like maternity leave is officially over for Julia Roberts.
The Pretty Woman has signed on to make her Broadway debut next spring in a revival of Richard Greenberg's popular family drama, Three Days of Rain, the New York Times reports.

Before getting back in front of the cameras, Roberts opted for her first post-partum project to be a play, fulfilling a long-standing desire to appear along the Great White Way.

Lindsay Lohan There For Moral Support

The actress skipped the London premiere of Herbie: Fully Loaded Thursday, to be with her mother during her upcoming divorce trial.

British paparazzi were salivating at the opportunity to snap the tabloid-ready star on their home turf, but instead had to settle for Lohan's Love Bug costar Michael Keaton.
...
Lindsay, 19, is an adult and won't be affected by the custody fight, but she is standing by her mother. In March, she publicly dissed her legally challenged father, saying he "doesn't even deserve my respect." In an interview with W magazine a month later, the younger Lohan said her father "didn't do anything for my career except go out and not come home at night."

Michael Lohan, meanwhile, disputes that. In his response to Dina's divorce petition, he said he deserves half the 15 percent Lindsay pays her mother--which could add up to $7 million a year. | source: E! Online

Angelina Jolie and Children Go Toy Shopping

Doting mum Angelina Jolie must have been in a playful mood on Wednesday, as she decided to take her little ones for a spot of toy shopping.

With four-year-old Maddox in one arm and newest addition Zahara cosily snuggled in a baby carrier, the actress stepped out to family-friendly Toy Crazy in Malibu.

Once inside the shop, a smiling Angelina held her daughter as she browsed the boutique's fun-filled wares, while her mohawked little boy checked out the colourful inventory, too.

The Tomb Raider beauty, who adopted Maddox from Cambodia in 2001 and Ethiopian Zahara this summer, is said to be staying at the nearby Malibu mansion of her Mr And Mrs Smith co-star Brad Pitt.

Hunky Brad erected a tent over the property's tennis courts recently, reportedly so Angelina could practice her game in private. | source: Hello Magazine

But when confronted in court with topless photographs of herself as an aspiring model, she insisted she actually thought she looked quite good.
"I wasn't ashamed to be out there like that," the 32-year-old star told the trial of a photographer she claims tried to blackmail her with the 13-year-old images.

"The photos themselves were not offensive to me," she said. "I thought my boobs looked good - at least I had that going for me."
